Leading plagiarism detection software refreshes how users view written work for originality; speeds up plagiarism checking process

The report view, called Document Viewer, enables users to view an uploaded submission in its original format, including images, tables and graphs. The Document Viewer framework streamlines and speeds up the plagiarism checking process, allowing users to view enhanced reporting to uncover unoriginal content and inaccurate citation, and make quicker assessments of the integrity of the work.

A recent iThenticate survey of more than 400 researchers and editors at scholarly publications found that one in three editors encounters plagiarism "regularly," and that 60 percent of those surveyed believe instances of plagiarism are increasing in their field. According to Retraction Watch, the number of retractions in scholarly publications doubled between 2010 and 2011.
